About
Café Batavia occupies the second-oldest building on the square, a two-storey house from the 1830s with a bar and stage downstairs. Upstairs, the Grand Salon seats about 150 behind tall shuttered windows that look across Taman Fatahillah to the old city hall. The menu mixes Indonesian and international dishes, so it suits a long, unhurried break from the museums.
