About
Tay Kak Sie was founded in 1746 to honour Guan Yin (Kwan Im) and grew into the temple with the most deities in the city, including a replica of Cheng Ho's ship and his statue. Each year the Kirab Sam Poo Tay Djien carries Cheng Ho's image from here through Pecinan to Sam Poo Kong; the 621st procession in August 2026 drew 20 temples. Lunpia Gang Lombok is on the same lane.
