About
A mosque has stood beside the alun-alun since the city's early years; today's building comes from a 2001–2003 rebuild with a 30 m dome and two 81 m minarets. In January 2026 the province ended its status as West Java's provincial grand mosque, and it is again officially Masjid Agung Bandung, managed as a waqf. Dress modestly and avoid prayer times if you visit as a sightseer.
