About
Built as a social club for the Dutch and European residents of a busy sugar and coffee trading town, the Sociëteit was also a gathering place for the local elite, nobility and intellectuals. The city restored it in 2024 and opened it as a heritage attraction facing Taman Kota. The P3GI sugar research buildings are a short walk down the same street.
