Soto Bangkong has served Semarang-style soto since 1950: village chicken, bihun or soun, bean sprouts and tomato in a clear, slightly brown broth. A bowl costs Rp17k; add sate ayam, sate tempe or perkedel skewers for about Rp6k each. Fried chicken, balado udang and nasi goreng are also on the menu.
