About
The Oen family business began as a Yogyakarta biscuit shop around 1910 and opened in Semarang in 1936; the fourth generation still runs it. Ice cream is still made to the old recipe on a 1920s Italian machine, from Rp35k, alongside poffertjes and pannekoek ice-cream plates (Rp50k), bitterballen, croquettes and bistik. Some ice creams contain alcohol and some Chinese dishes are not halal.
