About
Pondok Umapadi keeps the original padas-stone foundations, woven-bamboo walls and clay stove of a family home built in 1950, and diners sit wherever they like, from the bale to the salak garden. The menu is short: tipat cantok, laklak made with pure coconut milk, banana fritters, coffee, and nasi sela or cassava rice with pepes and sambal bongkot, using produce from the garden. It is about 1.5 hours from Denpasar, and the last 500 m is a lane you walk.
