About
Tempe makers have worked in Sanan since at least the 1800s, and around 400 craftsmen are registered with the local association today. Shops and home workshops sell keripik tempe in many flavours, plus newer products such as tempe brownies, sticks and chocolate. Walk the painted lanes and buy straight from the makers, who can also sell under their own brands.
