About
Kwee Pwee Bok, a Chinese migrant, began making bipang at home in 1949, and his eldest son named it Jangkar (anchor) after Pasuruan's port; the third generation now runs it as PT Bipang Jangkar Abadi. The halal-certified snack comes in balls, cubes and bars, in original, fruit, coffee-milk and ginger-peanut flavours. The Jalan Lombok shop, open since 2000, also stocks other Pasuruan snacks from local producers.
