About
Facing the grand mosque and the Immanuel church, the alun-alun has been the city's gathering place since colonial times. Today families come for the dancing water fountain, children's play areas and open paving where teenagers skate and cycle. Evenings and weekends are the liveliest, and Pasar Besar and the Kayutangan corridor are both a short walk away.
