About
The mosque was built in two phases, the second finished on 13 September 1903, and its original steel-framed hall with a two-tiered roof on teak pillars is still in use. Later additions brought a domed minaret and arched openings in an Arab style. It shares the square with Gereja Immanuel, a church founded in 1861, and is a popular rest stop for travellers heading home at Lebaran. Dress modestly and avoid prayer times.
