Run by the city library and archives office (Dispussipda), the main library sits among the old villas of Jalan Ijen and is a popular free place to study. The main collection is upstairs, staff read stories to visiting kindergarten groups in the children's room, and a Braille corner serves visually impaired readers. Bags go in lockers at the entrance, and you register for a membership card on a library computer before borrowing.
