About
Designed by the Dutch architects Rijksen and Estourgie and built in just eight months, the church was blessed on 28 October 1934 and became the seat of the Diocese of Malang in 1961. Its sober Art Deco lines stand out from the Gothic churches more common in Java. Pair a look at the facade with a walk along Jalan Ijen's palm-lined boulevard to Museum Brawijaya.
