About
Also called Kotabaru, this is where most visitors arrive by rail: long-distance trains run to Jakarta (Gajayana, Brawijaya, Majapahit, Matarmaja, Jayabaya), Bandung (Malabar), Yogyakarta and Purwokerto (Malioboro Ekspres) and Ketapang near Banyuwangi (Tawang Alun, Ijen Ekspres). Penataran and Dhoho Commuter Line trains loop to Surabaya Kota via Bangil or via Blitar and Kertosono. The Trans Jatim Malang Raya bus stops at both the east and west gates.
