About
Built by the Dutch in 1932, the market keeps its colonial look and became the first traditional market in Malang to be revitalised, in 2015. Kiosks at the front sell everyday groceries, while fish, meat and vegetables are inside, and it is known for being tidier than most. It is busiest early and quiet by around midday, so go in the morning, then walk to Hutan Kota Malabar next door.
